The Prime Minister Is now definitely aware of LNG as a marine fuel in Australia and was aware of the importance of LNG fuel as an enabler for the Blue Highway for coastal shipping to the nation.
Australia has the purpose, the skills, and the natural advantage...but do we have the political will to lead this global LNG fuel transition revolution in the Southern Hemisphere as more commercial multipliers in the LNG transport fuel industry are discovered?
It is with great pleasure that the Clean Marine Fuel Institute Board of Directors welcome Captain John Acomb as a Clean MFI representative to promote our interests and deliver our message, purpose and noble cause in Europe.
John is an experienced marine professional having worked in the maritime industry for more than 45 years.
It is with great pleasure that the Clean Marine Fuel Institute Board of Directors welcome BHP and Quadrant Energy in joining our Clean MFI Alliance members: Mitsubishi, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Woodside Energy, Rio Tinto, the Pilbara Ports Authority, Deloitte and Jackson McDonald, in promoting and supporting LNG as a marine and transport fuel in the Indo-Pacific region.

Welcome distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Richard Sandover, Chairman of Partners of law firm Jackson McDonald. I have the privilege of being the Chairman of the Australian Clean Marine Fuel Institute. I am honoured to be addressing you this evening for the West Australian launch of the Clean Marine Fuel Institute.

International regulations on the air pollution created by ships is becoming increasingly stringent, with increased pressure for reduced emissions from ships coming from the International Maritime Organization, following 1 January 2020 being confirmed as the implementation date for the global sulphur limit of 0.5%.
